| So it's been forever, dear readers. My bad. I guess I should re-cap.
So as I mentioned, I got married. it's pretty sweet--being married is really great--it's easier to call him "my husband" than it was just to call him "my fiance". I guess because there is always the fear that people don't really think it's real, even if it's an engagement. Thankfully, fortunately, we did not have many nay-sayers so it was also a lovely engagement.
The wedding was ...nice? lol it is a complete blur. I remember getting ready, I remember saying Jesus Christ in our vows (not as an expletive! lol), and no music playing during the recessional, hardly eating dinner, getting mostly icing when I tasted the cake, being extra extra thirsty throughout the night, and kind of disappointed w/the music set up.
lol but I've gotten reports that everyone had a great time so that is fantastic. Oh course, my main pet project-the "photobooth" in the end did not come to fruition b/c of the stupid remote!! sadness.
And I actually do remember having fun. We danced a lot, we took good pictures, I got to see so many of my friends AND it's true that in a wedding you do get to see how loves and supports you. Not just because of the ones that came but the out pouring of support and help that you get.
the opposite is also true but I won't get into that and thankfully, fortunately, it really only applies to one person, not family, so that is not too bad.
Honeymoon--was so much fun! So on the drive from Boston to Burlington, Vt there are NO PLACES TO EAT!! I know they're might be some like family restaurants deep into the small towns but wtf, is this not America?! There was no fast food anywhere. F New Hampshire.
That was about as bumpy as it got--oh I also was not a fan of the 18 mile bike ride we took. But other than that it was really fun and Boston is a great city with so much history (duh) and it was just so neat to see. I feel like a nerd sometimes b/c I wasn't born here but love all things American lol
Anyway, third year has started--holla! Everyone was pretty chill w/me missing classes. And most of my classes are pretty interesting--except Business Orgs and Admin law which are boring as hell.
Of course the most interesting is Death Penalty taught by a former states attorney. He seems like a sweet guy and brings in speakers--which I was dying and laughing on the inside on how weird one of them was--I'm not sure if that's the right word, but I can't really describe that whole situation lol. So I can't wait to see what's next.
School wise I just was offered an externship with the governor's office!! And it's not going to be boring at all b/c I will still be dealing w/Criminal Procedure, not say, admin law.
Other than that-E and I have settled nicely into our new very nice loft. Which I hope to have a dinner at soon--before it gets cold so we can use the rooftop!
That's an update on me, in a nutshell.
And I wish I was updating more b/c I keep getting these (what I think are) good post ideas but I can never find time for the blog. quel dommage.
For Fun:

| and I got married
with a dress. from my seamstress, but it was not that great of a dress unfortunately.
Otherwise the wedding was great and I'll recap when there are more pics.
E and I just arrived from our honeymoon in New England. We spent a few days in Burlington Vermont and then Boston. Crazy busy but it was a lot of fun.
Now I have a lot of catching up to do.
bummer. | | |
| I have to finish the music. I have to finish the programs. I have to do a whole bunch of little things.
plus school starts on monday--I need to buy books and read. yeah right.
I have to organize the public service event that is on Thur and Friday (This is NOT what I needed in my life).
I need to meet w/some people to discuss the plans for the trl team.
And I think I'm going to apply for an externship.
I will be able to breath on Labor Day. But I hope I enjoy the time before then...
| I have been MIA, but like, I'm getting married, so I've been a bit busy lol.
So I had my last day at the PDs today! It was a really great experience. I mean it was SLOW at times but I learned a lot thru observation, plus I got to do a trial and really learned about the work. I really want to be a PD someday.
And hopefully I can go back in the spring, I'd stay thru the fall but I have TOO much on my plate.
So now that I've had my last day I'm on "vacation" lol basically two weeks worth. boo.
Tomorrow is Evan's bday! We're going to Johnnie's tomorrow for breakfast lol and then a few other things but he'll be at work.
I also have to do some (lots) of stuff for Sesame. We have an event this Thursday plus we need to plan a lot for the Orientation that is happening next week? next week? OMG that means school starts after that...
before orientation I have to go to Indianapolis UGH that fucking bus ride. not fun. But then I should basically finally have my dress. we shall see.
I will also schedule hair appts, buy the favors, finish the bouquets and bouts.
In the meantime I have to do a lot more things, but thankfully I think everything is still doable in the time we have left.
I also start classes on the 24th. So I should, like, buy books? and read? yeah right. well I'll buy the books.
So you can see, Dear Reader, I'm kind of busy...and all I really want to do is get a Tan before the wedding. we'll see.
